Drunk Police Officer in Viral Video Already Sanctioned for Misconduct – FPRO

The Nigeria Police Force wants to make it clear that the Mobile Police officer who was seen in a viral video that is currently trending on social media in a drunken state, sitting on the ground and being made fun of, by some kids had received the proper sanctions for the dishonest and unethical behavior accordingly.

This declaration was made in a press statement released to journalists by the Force Public Relations Officer at Force Headquarters in Abuja, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

CSP Adejobi added that, people should remember that the video became popular in the year 2020, and the Force diligently worked to ensure that the Inspector was disciplined in accordance with the Force’s current laws governing the Force. As a result, the Inspector was demobilized from the Police Mobile Force and received other disciplinary sanctions as detailed in letter CH:5660/DOPS/PMF/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.78/116 dated December 11, 2020. It is shocking to see the same video trending for influence without using any real information, though.

While reminding police to conduct themselves in a proper, professional, and ethical manner both in and out of uniform, the Police also appeals to everyone to disregard the film and its contents because they serve no real purpose.
