At the 2 Division Central Mosque Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, a Jumaat Service was held on January 6, 2023, as part of the schedule of events for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebrations.

At around 1300 hours, the Jumaat Service began as a series of lectures and prayers were given by Colonel Kabiru Muhammad, the Chief Imam of the 2 Division Central Mosque.

During the discourse, the Chief Imam underlined the value of peace, unity, and patriotism. He also asked for everyone, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to pray for the souls of our fallen warriors so that they may continue to rest in peace. The Division Chief Imam also prayed for God to continue leading and guarding both our deployed and reserve forces, as well as for enduring peace throughout the nation.

The General Officer Commanding 2 Division NA Maj Gen Aminu Chinade, the Former General Officer Commanding 82 Division Maj Gen Lasisi Adegboye (rtd), Commanders, Principal Staff Officers of HQ 2 Div, soldiers, and Members of NAOWA 2 Div chapter attended the Jumaat Service. A collective portrait in front of the 2 Division Central Mosque served as the event’s culmination.
