3 Division Training School Graduates Students of Second Quarter Basic Battle Course 2023

Jos – The 3 Division Nigerian Army Training School celebrated the graduation of students from the Second Quarter Basic Battle Course 2023, urging the graduands to utilize the skills they acquired in dealing with the various forms of criminality plaguing the country. The graduation ceremony, which took place on July 14, 2023, at the 3 Division Small Arms Range in Miango, Jos, also featured practical demonstrations by the students.

Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour, Major General AE Abubakar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander of Operation SAFE HAVEN, emphasized the need for consistent training to enhance the capacity of troops in addressing the prevailing insecurity in the country and globally. He highlighted the significance of training young soldiers to achieve battle-focused results, enabling them to respond swiftly to security threats.

The GOC and Commander of Operation SAFE HAVEN highlighted the Nigerian Army’s recent prioritization of training, aiming to equip personnel with professional knowledge and skills in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy of transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, well-equipped, and highly motivated force capable of fulfilling constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment.

In his welcome address, Brigadier General Suleiman Adamu, the Division Training Officer, acknowledged that the participants were drawn from various units and formations under the 3 Division. He commended the students for their exemplary conduct during the training period and urged them to serve as good ambassadors of the school in their future endeavors.

The graduation ceremony featured captivating demonstrations showcasing the students’ proficiency in stripping and assembling weapons. Certificates were presented to the graduands, and a group photograph captured the memorable occasion.

As the graduands embark on their future military engagements, the 3 Division Training School has equipped them with essential skills and knowledge to confront security challenges effectively. The Nigerian Army remains committed to providing continuous training and professional development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of its personnel in safeguarding the nation and promoting peace and security.
