NADCEL 2023

Port Harcourt, Rivers State – The 6 Division Nigerian Army sponsored a public speaking event for the purpose of raising awareness at Army Day Secondary School as part of the ongoing Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2023 (NADCEL). The purpose of the event was to increase public awareness of the risks associated with drug and alcohol misuse, deter participation in cults, and emphasize job prospects in the Nigerian Army.

The Director of the 6 Division Education Service, Brigadier General Emmanuel Echebuiwe, spoke to the pupils and emphasized the negative impacts of drug usage and cultism on their prospects for the future. He exhorted them to abstain from these vices and advised them to report anyone engaging in them. He realized that changing these patterns might be difficult, but he underlined the value of getting support.

The Commandant of Command Secondary School Port Harcourt, Lieutenant Colonel Adewale Azeez, praised the Nigerian Army as a comprehensive organization that offers equal opportunity for everyone to succeed. He explained the conditions for joining the Nigerian Army and urged the kids to think about pursuing a career there with the right assistance and supervision.

The Nigerian Army was lauded by Lt. Colonel Azeez as a great institution and for its sacrifices in preserving national unity. He also emphasized the army’s many civil-military cooperation initiatives, which have a good effect on people’s lives and attend to community concerns.

The program included a drill exhibition, a video documentary, and a highly engaging session with the pupils. By providing them with a glimpse into the operations of the Nigerian Army and the potential prospects accessible to them, these events aimed to inspire and interest the pupils.

NADCEL 2023

The 6 Division Nigerian Army aimed to promote the Nigerian Army as a viable career option while educating the kids about the detrimental effects of drug usage and cultism through this sensitization campaign. The occasion helped the kids become more conscious and empowered, and it inspired them to choose wisely for their future.
