The Commander, Nigerian Army Women Command (NAWC), Brigadier General Mohammed Sani Adamu, on Tuesday, 4 February 2026, conducted a familiarization tour of selected formations and units within the Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja, with emphasis on strengthening collaboration, cooperation, and operational synergy.

The tour was aimed at acquainting the Commander with heads of key establishments while reinforcing institutional partnerships critical to achieving the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy and the Nigerian Army’s broader strategic objectives.

In a statement signed by Nsima Essien, a Major and Acting Deputy Director, Nigerian Army Women Command, Giri Abuja, Brigadier General Adamu visited several strategic establishments, including the Nigerian Army Space Command, Nigerian Army Farms and Ranches Limited, the Department of Personnel Management, and the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare School, among others.

During the engagements, the NAWC Commander underscored the importance of inter-command collaboration and synergy in addressing contemporary operational challenges. He expressed the readiness of the Nigerian Army Women Command to partner with the visited formations and units in key areas such as personnel management, capacity development, and cyber operations.

Brigadier General Adamu noted that the familiarization tour was also designed to foster mutual understanding, enhance cooperation, and leverage available expertise and facilities to support personnel development initiatives under NAWC.

He further emphasized that sustained collaboration across commands remains essential to building a more responsive, innovative, and capable Nigerian Army, particularly in line with evolving security demands.

The visit reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to jointness, innovation, and continuous capacity building, while strengthening institutional ties among formations within the Abuja area of responsibility.
