Major-General Ibrahim Ali, the General-Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and the commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), has referred women as being crucial to societal peace and harmony. The Commander said this on 29 October, 2022, in Jos, Nigeria, at the award ceremony and dish-opening ceremony that was hosted by the Bassa Women For Peace and Unity Initiative.

He affirmed that their contributions to national security are worthy of note and highly commendable.
General Ali added that the organization’s motto serves as a representation for Operation SAFE HAVEN’s purpose, which has largely been accomplished through kinetic and non-kinetic means.
The Commander who was presented with the Peace Ambassador Award stated that it was evidence of our dedication to continually carrying out our responsibilities in accordance with established laws and policies of the country and those of the Armed forces of Nigeria (AFN). The Commander’s unceasing efforts to foster peace in Bassa LGA and throughout Plateau state were recognized with the honor.
The commander, who gave the award dedicated it to the officers and soldiers of the 3 Division of the NA and Operation SAFE HAVEN, and advised the women to forge closer bonds among themselves so that they could all speak with a unified voice.
