Sector 2 Joint Task Force (NE) Conducts Public Speaking Engagement at GSS Damaturu as part of NADCEL 2023

Damaturu, Yobe State – As part of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2023 (NADCEL) activities, Sector 2 Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai conducted a Civil-Military Cooperation public speaking engagement at Government Secondary School (GSS) Damaturu on July 3, 2023.

The Commander of Sector 2 Joint Task Force (NE) Operation Hadin Kai, Major General MLD Saraso, expressed gratitude to the people of Yobe State for their unwavering support to the sector and the Nigerian Army as a whole. He emphasized that the choice of GSS Damaturu for the public speaking engagement and the presentation of books to students was a gesture of appreciation and a way to give back to the community for their cooperation and support in fulfilling the constitutional mandate of the Nigerian Army.

The Principal of GSS Damaturu, Malam Auwal Muhammad Garba, expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian Army for selecting their school for the lecture. He highlighted the students’ excitement and enthusiasm after watching the video clip, which sparked their interest in joining the esteemed national institution in the future.

The public speaking engagement was well attended by senior officers, community leaders, and the staff and students of GSS Damaturu. The presence of these individuals demonstrated their support and interest in fostering a positive relationship between the Nigerian Army and the local community.

The event provided an opportunity for the students to learn about the Nigerian Army, its operations, and the various career opportunities available within the organization. It also highlighted the importance of civil-military cooperation in achieving national security and unity.

GSS Damaturu

The Sector 2 Joint Task Force (NE) Operation Hadin Kai remains committed to engaging with the local communities, promoting mutual understanding, and fostering positive relationships as part of its efforts to restore peace and stability in the North East region of Nigeria. Such events are currently ongoing in all part of the country to commemorate NADCEL 2023.
