A Sure Way to End the Menace of Terrorism is Through Cooperation and Synergy – Force Commander MNJTF

These remarks were made on On a Friday, October 28, during operational visit to the headquarters Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri, by the Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF Maj-Gen Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim.

In a statement given to journalists by the Chief of Military Public Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Kamarudeen Adegoke in N’Djamena, CHAD, the FC was accompanied by the Deputy Force Commander (DFC), Brig Gen Assoualai Blama, and other Principal Staff Officers of HQ MNJTF.

 

The team was well received by the component commanders, his staff officers, the Theatre Commander (TC), Maj-Gen Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Deputy Theatre Commander, Maj-Gen MS Ahmed, and the GOC 7 Division. The FC and his group received a thorough briefing on the operational endeavors and successes of the Theatre Command.

In his remarks, the FC expressed his gratitude to the TC for the cordial welcome he and his group had received. He added that the visit’s goal was to introduce the new DFC to the Theatre Command and express gratitude to Op Hadin Kai’s troops for their cooperation and synergy during the just finished Operation Lake Sanity.

 

General Khalifah also added that, the visit is to update the TC on the MNJTF’s future plans for clearing the last remaining terrorists from the Lake Chad region and its surroundings. The FC urged increased cooperation and synergy because he thought it was essential to putting an end to the threat posed by terrorists.

 

In his remarks, the TC commended the FC for the Force’s assistance and the existing synergy, both of which had a significant impact on weakening the terrorists in the Lake Chad Basin region and elsewhere. He added that his Command was determined to eliminating the terrorist threat by infiltrating terrorist strongholds and destroying them using whatever means necessary.

 

He reiterated that Op Hadin Kai would keep working with the MNJTF and other operations to establish enduring peace in the nations surrounding Lake Chad. He also emphasized that there were already plans in place to conduct more Operations right away, both kinetic and non-kinetic operations being included.
