The Department of State Services (DSS) has ordered for calm in the FCT and beyond as it currently working with other security agencies and stakeholders to maintain peace and order in the general area.
This was contained in a statement by the Department of State Services, Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya in Abuja. The PRO was responding to a statement by the US Embassy on the possible attack in the FCT on Sunday 23rd October 2022.
He added that “Nigerians may recall that the Service had variously issued similar warnings in the past”.
“All necessary precautions are taken by all and sundry, the populace are therefore enjoined to remain alert and assist security agencies with useful information regarding threats and suspicious criminal acts around them”, he added.
It would be recalled that an alert signal were sent to U.S Embassy. ABUJA on the possible attack by the insurgents in the FCT Abuja.
