The Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Tactical Air Command (TAC) Makurdi, Air Vice Marshall (AVM) PN Amadi had on 1st December 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force ( JTF ) North East ( NE) Operation HADIN KAI ( OPHK), Major-General CG Musa at Headquarters Theatre Command Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri.
The AOC said that the purpose of his visit is to forge a stronger working relationship with the Theatre Command in order to destroy any remaining BHT/ISWAP elements that are roving the NE Theatre of Operations. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal IO Amao, is determined to provide the crucial air support required for the success of the CT-COIN operations, as was once again stressed by the AOC.
The Air Officer Commanding also praised the TC’s leadership style, which is in accordance with that of Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS). The CAS is deploying additional platforms to continue the assault on the terrorists, according to information provided by the AOC.
General Musa responded by expressing his happiness at the visit and praising the AOC for his energy and commitment. In addition, General Musa praised the excellent working relationship that currently exists with the Air Component Command. The giving of souvenirs, signing of the visitor’s book, and group photo were the highlights of the visit.
