According to information obtained by (PRNigeria), armed bandits have prepared a naming ceremony for the child of Birnin Yauri, a 16-year-old female student of the Federal Government College (FGC) in Kebbi State who was kidnapped and gave birth to a child while in their camp.
The young mother is one of the 11 female students who have not been released since gunmen kidnapped over 100 students, eight professors, and a police officer on June 17, 2021, at the mixed-gender boarding school in Zamfara State.
Security agencies were able to rescue some of the students a few days after their kidnapping, while others managed to flee from the assailants while removing them deep into the forest. The teachers and 30 pupils were equarly freed by the bandits.
It was reported that two additional students in the terrorists’ den gave birth to a baby girl and a baby boy, according to a local source who corroborated the news of the “naming ceremony” of the child of the abducted FGC Yauri Female student to PRNigeria.
One of the parents of the kidnapped female students urged the Chief of Defence Staff, (CDS) General. Leo Irabor, and National Security Adviser Maj. -Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd) to intervene and secure the return of their children.
We demand and pleaded that the special committee established by the CDS take responsibility and find a solution as soon as possible, just like it did with the Kaduna railway passengers.
“It is regrettable that our girls were forced into marriages, spent more than a year in captivity, and gave birth to their children at such young ages. God, ohhhhh God. Haba!,” the upset parent exclaimed while sobbing to PRNigeria.
The father, who requested anonymity, remembered how CDS Action Commitee on October 5 had secured the release and taken custody of all 23 passengers still being held hostage on the Abuja-to-Kaduna train by Boko Haram terrorists after their attack on the train on March 28, 2022 along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
“The nation owes a debt of appreciation to the Nigerian military under the leadership of the CDS, who designed and supervised the operation from start to finish”.
