Be Contented, Contribute Positively to the Growth of the Nation – General Musa Charges Troops of OPHK

Major General Christopher Musa, the Theatre Commander (TC) of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has urged all officers and soldiers serving in the Theatre of OPHK to be content with their pay, maintain their fortitude, and positively contribute to the fight against insurgency in the region as well as the effort to restore peace and tranquility to the entire country.

This appeal was made by General CG Musa on January 8, 2023, at the Joint Interdenominational Church Service held at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Catholic Church Maimalari Cantonment to honor the sacrifices and selfless service of fallen and serving heroes as well as the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration.

According toGeneral Musa, “We want to pray for the eternal rest of the souls of our brave fallen heroes who have paid the ultimate price as well as to commend those still serving for their selfless contribution towards the peace and stability of Nigeria as a nation.” The Service Chiefs, he continued, are pleased with the results obtained while urging everyone to go farther. As a result, he gave orders to all officers and soldiers to maintain their composure, discipline, commitment, and—most importantly—contentment with their pay while taking care of their families.

Readings from the Bible and a special prayer session for the nation’s heroes who have died or been injured were the highlights of the event. The vicar’s encouragement, a group photo, a press conference, and general expressions of gratitude for God’s divine protection and all the operations’ accomplishments came next.

Component commanders, formation and unit commanders, principal staff officers from Headquarters Theatre Command and 7 Division, the chairman of the Nigerian Legion in Borno State, other senior officers, troops, and families, as well as distinguished press members, were among the dignitaries who attended the event.
