Brigadier General Inuwa Takes Over as Provost Nigerian Army College of Education

Ilorin, June 14, 2023 – The Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE) in Ilorin witnessed a significant transition as Brigadier General Solomon Inuwa took over as the new Provost in a formal handing and taking over ceremony on June 14, 2023. The outgoing Provost, Major General Sani Sumaila Ibrahim, gracefully handed over the reins to his successor.

Expressing his gratitude, Major General Ibrahim thanked the officers and soldiers of NACOE for their unwavering loyalty and support during his tenure as Provost. He assured Brigadier General Inuwa of the continued cooperation and commitment of the NACOE personnel under his command. Major General Ibrahim also extended his appreciation to Major General Bello Alhaji Tsoho, the Corps Commander Education, for granting him the privilege to serve as Commandant.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Inuwa expressed his deep gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve as the Provost of NACOE. He also expressed his appreciation to Major General Bello Alhaji Tsoho for considering him worthy of the appointment.

Brigadier General Inuwa emphasized the importance of dedication and excellence in the performance of assigned duties, urging all officers and soldiers of NACOE to maintain the highest standards. Coming from the Nigerian Defence Academy, his vast experience and leadership skills are expected to contribute significantly to the growth and development of NACOE.

The ceremony’s highlight was the official signing of the handing and taking over notes, symbolizing the formal transfer of responsibilities. Additionally, the NACOE flag was presented to Brigadier General Inuwa, signifying his new role as Provost. The occasion was commemorated with a group photograph, capturing the significance of this momentous event.

As Brigadier General Solomon Inuwa assumes the position of Provost at NACOE, expectations are high for his leadership to steer the institution to greater heights. With his experience and the support of the dedicated officers and soldiers of NACOE, the college is poised to continue its mission of providing quality education and training for military personnel.

The Nigerian Army College of Education remains committed to its mandate of grooming competent and well-rounded military officers who will serve with distinction, and under the guidance of Brigadier General Inuwa, this tradition is expected to flourish.
