The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, is currently in Pakistan for the 11th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2022), which is being held in Karachi, Pakistan. As a strategic military leader, he is constantly looking for new strategies to address the myriad security challenges the country is currently facing.

The Nigerian Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information,https://airforce.mil.ng/ Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, made this announcement in a press release on November 16, 2022.
The event, said Air Commodore Gabkwet, is a biennial defense industry show and one of Central Asia’s best venues for promoting foreign defense systems. International makers of defense and security equipment come together under IDEAS 2022 to examine possibilities for collaboration through outsourcing, joint ventures, and teamwork.

Air Marshal Amao and other military leaders from around the world will have the chance to see a wide range of defense systems during the four-day exhibition, which started from November 15 to 18, 2022. These systems range from tools used in developing countries to the most cutting-edge technology from developed nations. The exhibition also features a number of different weapon systems and pieces of apparatus on display, as well as defense advances and technology of the future.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and other armed services can thus access the best products and technology to meet their unique defense and security demands through the IDEAS 2022, which offers a perfect interactive platform. Since then, the IDEA has been hailed as possibly the most significant forum for the exchange of novel ideas and a venue for networking with a large number of prominent representatives, policymakers, diplomats, and defense procurement specialists.

The various products and innovations on display at IDEAS 2022 offer the CAS the best options suitable to continuously face head-on the security challenges in Nigeria, taking into account the game-changing role that modern technology has brought to bear in Nigerian Air Force’s current counterinsurgency and counter-terrorism operations.
The topic of bilateral military cooperation was thoroughly discussed at Air Marshal Amao’s meeting with his counterpart from the Pakistani Air Force and other senior military officials on the sidelines of the exhibition and seminar.
