President Faustin Archange Touadera of the Central African Republic has visited frontline troops at Camp Beal in Bangui, where he urged them to sustain their efforts in the fight against insurgents and protect the sovereignty of the nation. The president has maintained a close relationship with the Central African troops and their allied forces, and his unscheduled visit aimed to boost morale and show his support.

During his visit, President Touadera met with key military officials, including Lieutenant General Zephirin Mamadou, Chief of Staff of the Central African Armed Forces, Major General Landry Depot, Director General of the National Gendarmerie, and the Comptroller General of the Police, Bienvenue Zokoue. He also interacted with officers from the Rwandan Bilateral Forces who are collaborating in the Operation Bata Kodro.

Taking on the role of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Touadera emphasized the importance of unity and commitment in the ongoing fight against insurgents. He encouraged the soldiers, police officers, and elements of the Rwandan Bilateral Forces and gendarmes to remain dedicated to their duty of safeguarding the nation.

In addition to his motivational address, President Touadera inaugurated a branch of the Banque Sahelo Sahelienne pour l’Investissement et le Commerce (BISIC) within Camp Beal. This new banking facility will facilitate financial transactions for the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) elements, ensuring convenient access to banking services.

The visit of President Touadera to Camp Beal underscores his hands-on approach to leadership and his continuous efforts to strengthen the morale and effectiveness of the country’s security forces. By personally engaging with the frontline troops, he has demonstrated his commitment to their well-being and the success of their mission.

The Central African Republic has faced ongoing security challenges, particularly in combating insurgent groups and protecting civilian populations. President Touadera’s visit serves as a reminder of the government’s determination to maintain stability, protect the nation’s sovereignty, and ensure the safety of its citizens.
