On February 9, 2023, the newly appointed Commander 35 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General MT Aminu assumed command as the Brigade’s 11th Commander.
The Commander 35 Artillery Brigade promised to build on his predecessor’s accomplishments while speaking at the event marking the handing over and taking over of authority. In his remarks to the Brigade’s soldiers, he also urged officers to uphold strict discipline and provide suitable mentoring and direction to their subordinates.
Earlier in his speech, the outgoing Commander, Major General IM Abdullahi, urged officers and members of the Brigade to offer the new Commander the same level of support that they had given to him in order to maintain the effectiveness and high level of professionalism of the troops in the performance of their duties.
The presentation of the flag of office by the departing Commander, Major General IM Abdullahi to the newly appointed Commander, Brigadier General MT Aminu, as well as the signing of the note of handing over and taking over, and group photos, are among the highlights of the celebration.
