Chief of Air Staff Visits Theatre Command OPHK, Applauds Current Synergy and Cooperation

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal IO Amao, visited Theatre Command, Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI on November 30, 2022. ( OPHK ) on operational vuisit. The Theatre Commander, Major General CG Musa, welcomed the CAS when they arrived at the Theatre Command.

The CAS revealed that the purpose of his visit was to congratulate the troops of the theatre on their accomplishments, encourage them, and remind them of the need of maintaining their focus and commitment on the work at hand.

The CAS applauded the Theatre Commander for ensuring that the security Components were cooperating harmoniously and closely with the Borno State Government, hybrid forces, civil society organizations, and other important players without harboring any animosity. As calm began to slowly return to the North East, he urged the command to maintain the team spirit.

The Theatre Commander thanked the CAS for his support and advice in his remarks, particularly in reference to the significant support provided by the Air Component of OPHK, adding that the Air Component has continued to be a major game-changer in the ongoing CT-COIN operation. The Theatre Commander expressed his delight at the visit and thanked the CAS for his support and guidance.

Air Marshal Amao concluded by assuring the Theater of the availability of more platforms in the North East and praising the seamless collaboration with the MNJTF.

The inspection of the quarter guards, signing the visitor’s book, presenting the mementos, and taking the group photo were the highlights of the tour.
