COAS Commissions CIMIC Projects in Malumfashi Katsina State, Reaffirms Commitment to Sustain More

By commissioning new projects in Malumfashi, Katsina State, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has once more shown his dedication to the Special Intervention Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiatives. The reconstructed school’s assembly hall, 100 more classroom seats, and 2000 exercise books were all dedicated by the COAS during the occasion, which also saw the official opening of four newly built classroom blocks at Government Day Secondary School.

In his speech, the COAS stressed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to carrying out quick-impact initiatives in the nation’s many areas. These initiatives seek to meet the urgent needs of the local populations and strengthen links between the Nigerian Army and the populace. The COAS recognized the important contribution made by these initiatives to the Nigerian Army’s overall efforts to address the country’s security concerns without using kinetic force.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) extended his gratitude to Major General Sani Gambo Mohammed, the Project Executor and Chief of Training (Army), for carrying out the projects effectively. Additionally, he exhorted the people of Malumfashi to keep up their good citizenship and to help the Nigerian Army and other security organizations by sharing important information. They would help to create a safe and secure environment that is favorable for socioeconomic activity to flourish by doing this.

The COAS also exhorted the Principal, faculty, and students of Government Day Secondary School Malumfashi to fully utilize the newly opened facilities and to see to their ongoing care. Students would benefit from a better learning environment and the education would be of higher quality.

Major General SG Mohammed thanked the COAS for authorizing the funding and supporting the project in their neighborhood during the ceremony during his remarks of welcome. He emphasized how the new facilities would raise the caliber of education in Malumfashi.

A speech presentation by students from Government Day Secondary School Malumfashi and the official commissioning of the projects were also part of the celebration. As a token of thanks, gifts were also given to dignitaries in attendance.

The Nigerian Army’s dedication to community development, to enhancing education, and to establishing good relations with the populace is shown in the commissioning of these projects in Malumfashi. While strengthening the relationship between the Nigerian Army and the people it serves, these activities will undoubtedly contribute to the community’s overall progress and well-being.
