Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has pleaded with the lovely residents of the Obarenren village in Edo State and other beneficiaries to safeguard and guarantee good use of Nigerian Army Quick Impact projects. General Yahaya made the suggestion while dedicating and delivering a newly constructed and outfitted Primary Healthcare Center to the Oberenren Community in the Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. The project was honoring Maj Gen DIO Ehiorobo, a native of the Obarenren Community.

The COAS made mention in his remarks that Nigeria is grappling with a number of security concerns that have essentially affected every sector of society and that the Nigerian Army is keeping up the pressure in the fight against these issues. He argued that every Nigerian has a responsibility to play in resolving the security issues the country is experiencing, and that some of these issues will necessitate a comprehensive approach and the support of the general public.

Additionally, he conveyed his appreciation to the honorable residents of Obarenren and Edo State for always supporting the Nigerian Army’s missions. According to him, the Nigerian Army recently launched elaborate fast impact programs in a number of towns around the country in order to provide the support that is required in areas of need and to further reinforce the already-existing relationships with the host communities. Especially when applied in a non-Kinetic way, this has tremendously benefited the Nigerian Army’s efforts to solve the complicated security concerns facing the country.

Intervention by the Chief of Army Staff In order to assist the communities of senior Nigerian Army officers who are now serving all over the nation and have earned the esteemed rank of Major General in the Nigerian Army, Civil-Military Projects was founded. These towns already receive a number of crucial services, resources, and infrastructures from the state; the initiatives are intended to supplement those.

In his remarks, Mr. Gdowin Obaseki, the Executive Governor of Edo State, commended the COAS for honoring Maj. Gen. DIO Ehiorobo, a son of the neighborhood, by constructing and equipping the medical facility in his name. Mr. Obaseki did a fantastic job of representing Dr. Edemudia, the director of the Edo Primary Healthcare Agency. In order to staff the recently constructed healthcare center, he assured the community that enough workers will be posted in the coming weeks.

Maj Gen DIO Ehiorobo stated in his introductory remarks that the reason the community selected the medical center was because they recognized its significance for their own health and the health and wellbeing of their neighbors. He claims that the hospital will provide preventive and curative healthcare to the Obarenren village’s most vulnerable residents as well as those living nearby.

The event’s features include the unveiling of the commissioning plaque, cutting of the commissioning tape, distributing keepsakes, and the cultural show.
