The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME) Auchi, Major-General Aniedi Effiong Edet decorated newly promoted officers of the of the institution on Wednesday 8 March 2023. The Commandant was assisted by the Staff Officers.
The promotion of officers to their substantive ranks of Lieutenants was magnanimously approved recently by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General F Yahaya in which nine officers and students from NASEME were part of the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries are: Lieutenant OE Ikeoha, Lieutenant LC ThankGod, Lieutenant MI Sani, Lieutenant OA Idowu, Lieutenant SM Akinade, Lieutenant IM Peter, Lieutenant OD Ugwu, Lieutenant JO Ihejirike, and Lieutenant EM Ogundele respectfully.
In his remarks, the Commandant emphasized on the need to be hardworking, dedicated and committed to the constituted authority. He urged the newly promoted officers not to relent on their efforts and reminded them that to whom much is given, much is expected.
Commandant NASEME also stated that promotion comes with greater responsibilities and encouraged them to continue to give their best in all endeavours as they progress in course of their careers.
Other senior officers also took turns advising the newly promoted officers. The event was hitch-free and climaxed with a group photograph.
