Students have been welcomed by Brigadier General Omale Abraham Ochagwuba, Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI). At the school’s auditorium in Bonny Cantonment, Lagos, the ceremony for the inauguration was held.

Advanced Public Relations Officers Course, Intermediate Video Production Course, and Basic Graphics Designs and Printing Courses were among the courses that were officially launched for the second quarter of 2023 for troops and ratings, respectively.

The Commandant urged all students to use their nominations to advance their education in his inaugural speech, noting that their academic success would determine how far their careers would advance. According to Gen Ochagwuba, the school has qualified teachers, resources, and platforms that are prepared to provide students with the required instruction. NASPRI does not accept drug misuse, sexual harassment, bullying, or cheating on exams, he emphasized as he urged the students to uphold a high level of conduct. He issued a warning that anyone caught in the act will be subject to the full force of the law.

The Commandant thanked Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Stevenson Olabanji, the commander of the Nigerian Army Training and Doctrine Command, and the Chief of Training (Army) for their unceasing efforts to advance NASPRI. At the NASPRI permanent location in Giri, Abuja, he revealed that the construction and outfitting projects are around 98% complete. Administrative staff, instructors, and staff officers were among those present during the ceremony.
