In his effort to key into the COAS’ Vision of operating within a joint environment, the commander 1 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 1 Joint Task Force (JTF) North West Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), Brig-Gen S Ahmed has called for continuous synergy in the ongoing operation in Zamfara. The commander made the call when he paid courtesy visits to the Commander 207 Quick Response Group (QRG) Nigerian Air force (NAF) Gusau Group Captain SP Sekegor and the Commissioner of Police Zamfara state Command CP Kolo Yusuf on Wednesday 4 April 2023 respectively.
In his remarks, Brig-Gen Ahmed commended the Officers and Men of the 207 QRG NAF for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the recent elections in Zamfara state.
Brig-Gen Ahmed urged the Men of the NAF to enhance joint training with other security agencies in the state to create better understanding and a sense of comradeship within the security agencies in the state.
Earlier in his response, the Commander 207 QRG NAF, Group-Captain SP Sekegor thanked the Commander for the visit and assured him more robust cooperation to rid the state of banditry and other security challenges.
In the same vein, while at the Zamfara state Police command, the Commander 1 Brigade commended the Nigerian Police Force in tackling the activities of bandits and other sundry crimes in the state reiterating that the NA is always ready to provide the necessary support to the Nigerian police as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.
The Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf appreciated the commander for the courtesy and assured him of continuous synergy with the NA and other security agencies to improve the effectiveness of the war against criminal elements in the state.
