Maiduguri, Borno State – The air component of Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has been urged to maintain the momentum of their operations in order to decisively defeat Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists throughout the entire North East region, according to Major General Gold Chibuisi, the theatre commander of the operation.
As part of his tour of the formations and units under the theatre command, Chibuisi stopped by the Air Command Component in Maiduguri on Tuesday. He stressed the significance of ongoing support for the air component’s operational activities.
The theatre commander was welcomed warmly by Air Commodore G.I. Jibia, the Air Component Commander OPHK, and Commander 105 Composite Group, Air Commodore EP Bindul, upon his arrival at the Air Force Base.
General Gold Chibuisi received a briefing on the ongoing operational tasks of the air component during the visit. He was impressed by the troop turnout and the thorough brief and thanked the air component for their contributions, which were crucial to Operation HADIN KAI’s overall success.
In highlighting the crucial role that the Air Component Command played, General Chibuisi also expressed his gratitude for their continuous support. He admitted that the effectiveness of the joint task force’s operations had been enhanced by their efforts.
The visit included checking out the Quarter Guards, receiving a thorough briefing, posing for a group photo, exchanging souvenirs, touring the facilities, and signing the visitor’s book.
The charge given by the commander to the troops emphasizes how crucial it is to keep up the pace of operations against Boko Haram and ISWAP in the North East. In order to defeat the terrorist organizations and bring peace and security back to the region, the joint task force’s combined efforts, particularly the air component, are crucial.
Under the direction of Major General Gold Chibuisi, the Nigerian Armed Forces are still devoted to the battle against terrorism and will continue to give all parts of the operation the assistance and resources they require.
