The Commander Command Army Records, Maj-General Igbinomwanhia has visited heads of security agencies in Kogi State and reiterated his commitment to inter-agency cooperation towards ending criminalities in Kogi State and its environs.
General Igbinomwanhia took a turn to visit the Commander Command Naval Drafting, Rear Admiral Zakaria, Commander NNS Lugard Commodore KJ Odubanjo as well as the Director Department of State Service Mr Ajayi Tosin and the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant John Oyinloye said, Cooperation and synergy among security agencies is key to deal with all sort of criminalities in the state.
The visit he noted was necessary to extend his hands of friendship and fellowship which according to him is in line with the vision of the Chief of Army Statff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya, which is to have “A professional responsive Nigerian Army Ready to Accomplish Assigned Mission Within a Joint Environment in Defence of Nigeria”
The Commander further, acknowledged the complementary roles played by other security agencies during Exercise Enduring Peace II and called for more synergy and collaboration during joint operations. He revealed that the bad elements also collaborate to commit heinous acts as such collaboration of the security agencies will speedily erode the evil plans of the criminal elements.
Speaking earlier, the Commander Command Naval Drafting, Rear Admiral Zakaria applauded the existing cordial relationship between Command Army Records and the Navy in the State.
Also speaking, the Director DSS noted the cooperation between the Nigerian Army and the DSS in in ensuring low crime rate. He pledged his readiness to continue giving the NA maximum support.
On his part, the Commandant NSCDC showed encomium on General Igbinomwanhia for championing the course of harmonious relationships with security agencies in the state and the Command Army Records..
Highlights of the visit were the signing of the visitor’s book exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.\
