The Commander Sector 4 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Diffa, Niger Republic, Colonel Major Mamane Sani Kiaou on Tuesday, 31st of January 2023, paid an operational visit to Headquarters Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI and MNJTF in Monguno, Borno State.
He was welcomed by the Commander, Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI and MNJTF, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, at the Sector Headquarters where further planning on projected joint operations under the direction of the Multinational Joint Task Force was discussed.
The Commander Sector 3 in the course of the visit harped on the continuous support and synergy that both Sectors had leveraged upon in the past, especially during Operation FLOOD SANITY which was a combined joint operations conducted in the last Quarter of 2022 by both Sectors.
Responding, the visiting Sector 4 Commander Multinational Joint Task Force, Colonel Major Mamane Sani Kiaou thanked his host for the warm reception whilst acknowledging the synergy between both Sectors. He said he looked forward to enhanced cooperation in the coming days as the combined forces prepare to conduct more operations in the joint operations area in line with the mandate of the Multinational Joint Task Force.
Highlights of the visit included the inspection of equipment and wreath laying at the Sector 3 Cenotaph in honour of all those who paid the supreme sacrifice. The Commander Air Base Command Sector 4 MNJTF, Lt Col Amadou Tchousso and Lt Col Laouli Abdoulaziz were all part of the entourage of the Commander Sector 4 MNJTF while Commander HQ 5 Bde, Brigadier General GO Olorunyomi as well as other Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF were also in attendance.
