Community Leaders in Plateau State Scores Major General Ali High on Security, Others

The Irigwe and Fulani community of Plateau State have scored the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Operation SAFE (OPSH), Major General Ibrahim Ali high on security and community service amongst others. They made the remark during a farewell visit to Major General Ali at Headquarters OPSH in Jos, Plateau State.

In a statement by Captain Oya James, the Media Information Officer OPSH, said in a separate meeting, the Ardo of the Mahanga community, Alhaji Mahmoud Adam and Brra Ngwe Rigwe, Retired Revered Ronku Aka, said the commander was instrumental to the relative peace being enjoyed in Plateau State. They appreciated the unbiased nature of the GOC/Commander OPSH in handling issues of insecurity and communal crises.

The people described Major General Ali as a visionary leader hungry for growth and prioritizes security of lives and property. They commended the open-mindedness of the commander and wished him well in his new role and massive contributions to national security.

Responding, Major General Ibrahim Ali, thanked the people for the chance to improve the security situation in the general area. He reiterated that OPSH will continue to work with any organizations or group of individuals that desires peace on the Plateau and other areas covered by the command.

General Ali revealed that patrols have been intensified to prevent any security threats and possible breakdown of law and order across OPSH Joint Operations Area (JOA). He therefore urged the people to support the incoming commander in his drive to sustain peace and improve the security situations in the JOA.

Highlight of the farewell visit were presentation of motorbikes to aid the operations of operation FULACO and group photograph.
