According to the GOC/Commander OPSH, the Drivers Basic course was necessary to ensure the safety of troops during operations. He charged the graduands to improve what they learnt during the course to perfect their skills in the field.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander 73 Supply and Transport Brigade, Brigadier General Solomon Er revealed that the Basic Drivers Course 1/2022 had 26 students including Nigerian Air Force personnel and a Corps member. He said the graduands were extensively taken on practicals of driving long distances, driving both day and night and were given thorough understanding of driving procedures in all weather conditions and terrains as well as a good knowledge on the daily maintenance and care of vehicles.

He congratulated the graduands and encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the Supply and Transport Training School. The event featured the presentation of certificates to the graduands and a group photograph.
