The Corps Commander Ordnance Maj Gen AM Alabi has decorated four senior officers of the Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) who benefitted from the Major to Lieutenant Colonel Promotion approved by the Army Council for the year 2022 today Friday 18 Nov 22 at the Nebo Hall Abalti barracks Ojuelegba Lagos State.

In his remarks, the Corps Commander Ordnance expressed his profound gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for graciously approving the promotion of the Senior Officers. He therefore urge the newly decorated Lieutenant Colonels to redouble their efforts and continue to be hard-working, diligent, loyal and God-fearing for smooth career progression.
Maj Gen AM Alabi use the avenue to remind personnel to remain apolitical as the 2023 General Elections draws closer. He added that they must adhere strictly to the Rules of Engagement and Code of Conducts of the Nigerian Army. He further enjoined them to desist from any act that can be inimical to the Nigerian Army’s image and reputation.

While delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the decorated Officers Lt Col NB Ahmed after thanking God for the promotion thanked the Corps Commander Ordnance for his guidance and support. He extend the gratitude to the COAS for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised that they will continue to give their best to the Nigerian Army as he pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the Nigerian Army.
The decorated Officers were Lt Col NB Ahmed, Lt Col ON Okon, Lt Col CO Iniaghe and Lt Col BA Segun.
The decoration ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff HQ NAOC Brig Gen ROO Cole, Commander Nigerian Army Ordnance Tailoring Factory Brig Gen VD Beryo, Director Land Service Ammunition Colonel T Ahmed, Staff Officers and soldiers of HQ NAOC, distinguished invited guests as well as families and friends of the decorated senior officers.
