Corps Commander Ordnance Visits Exercise Life Line In Ogun State

The Special Guest of Honour (SGOH) and the Corps Commander Ordnance (CC Ord), Major General Adeyemi Alabi amongst other senior officers paid an operational visit to the Camp Area for Exercise LIFE LINE organized for students of Logistics Staff Course (LSC) 20/23 at 81 Division Training Area, Ajilete-Owode, Ogun State.

The CC Ord was received at the Quarter Guard by the Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Adekunle Adeyinka.

Shortly after inspecting the Quarter Guard, the CC Ord with other invited dignitaries were led to the Information Centre by the Exercise sponsor alongside the Chief Instructors (CIs) and Members of Directing Staff (MDS). At the Info Center where they were briefed on the conduct of the ongoing exercise by one of the students.

The visiting team were further conducted on a guided tour of other cells within the camp where they were properly briefed on other administrative arrangements in the camp.

It could be recalled that, the Exercise has been designed to test the students of the course on the conduct of logistics estimate, writing and delivery of operational order/combat service support order, logistics support for maneuver formations, operation logistics staff procedures and war gaming of logistics plans.

Additionally, students will be practiced on liaison and coordination between various staff cells, logistics plan for civil military cooperation and Quick Impact Project (QIP) for humanitarian assistance/intervention.

The visiting guests were further led to the operations room, where they were also briefed on operational plans as to the general conduct of the tactical phases of the Exercise. Similarly, the team accessed the readiness of the students and also outlined major teaching points which was aimed to assist in the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The successful conduct of Exercise LIFE LINE will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing the logistics capabilities of the Nigerian Army, improving coordination among staff cells, and strengthening the overall readiness and effectiveness of the force in future operations. The Corps Commander Ordnance and the visiting team expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the exercise and commended the students for their dedication and professionalism.
