Defense headquarters has published a list of the top 19 (nineteen) terrorist kingpins and commanders currently being sought by troops and security forces as part of its determination to apprehend the daredevil terrorists who are terrorizing Nigerians and causing mayhem in several regions of the country, particularly in the North West.

A reward of five million Naira (N5,000.000.00) has also been set by the military high command for anyone who provides information that results in the capture of one of the terrorists. On Monday, the DHQ posted images of the terrorists along with their countries of origin on the Defense Correspondents WhatSapp site. \

The images depict the most notorious terrorists and bandits who were responsible for several massacres in both the north-east and north-central regions of the nation.

They are Bello Turji Gudda, Nagona, Nasanda, Dogo Nahali, Leko, and Sani Dangote. Isiya Kwashen Garwa, Ali Kachalla aka Ali Kawaje, Abu Radde, Dan-da, Sani Gurgu, and Umaru Dan Nigeria are among the participants. Nagala, Alhaji Ado Aliero, Monore, Gwaska Dankarami, Baleri, and Mamudu Tainange are some further names.

The Defense Headquarters has recently increased its military operations around the nation, announcing that in two weeks of operations, its troops killed 139 Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, detained 132 terrorists and logisticians, and saved 60 civilians. 366 Boko Haram terrorists and their families surrendered in Borno State, according to Major General Musa Danmadami, Director of Defence Media Operations, who made the announcement at the biweekly update on the Armed Forces of Nigeria operations between October 6 and 20, 2022.

He also noted that two terror kingpins and their foot soldiers surrendered to troops in Zamfara State. He provided a breakdown, saying that throughout the reviewed time, Operation Hadin Kai forces detained 72 terrorists and/or suppliers of logistics and killed 49 terrorists.
