Major-General Ali Nani (retired) has on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 led DIDAN Associates Consultancy, a-3 man delegation to Headquarters 7 Division Nigerian Army and Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) to solicit for security and collaboration in preparation for petroleum exploration activities scheduled to commence shortly within the lake Chad Basis.

Major-General Nani was soliciting on behalf of Didan and Associates Consultancy Limited, the firm contracted by Nigeria National Petroleum (NNPC) Limited Corporation to carry out the task.

He said their visit to the Division is key to the success of the activities as security for both men and equipment can only be guaranteed by the Nigerian Military considering the nature of the security situation around the Nort East Region.

General Nani expressed immense satisfaction over the massive infrastructural development in the Division and the Theatre in general stating that this shows a sign of normalcy and tranquillity in the region. While appreciating the General Officer Commanding for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He urged him to keep the flag flying as always.

In his response, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation OPHK Major General Waidi Shaibu welcomed General Nani and his team to the Division and further expressed his resolve to give all the necessary support to the company when the need arises. He, therefore, restates the Division’s commitment to continue to support all the developmental efforts of the Federal Government especially in protecting Key Points, and critical assets and the rebuilding of the northeast region which has been greatly affected by the activities of the insurgency.

Present during the occasion were members of the delegation from DIDAN Associates Consultancy, the Chief of Staff 7 Division, Brig Gen OM Oyekola, some Formation and Units Commanders, and Principal Staff Officers of the Division amongst others.
