Three senior officers of the Directorate of Army Public Relations who had the good fortune to be among those to benefit from the Major to Lieutenant Colonel promotion granted by the Army Council for the year 2022 have been decorated by Director Army Public Relations Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu.
The Director addressed the audience during the ceremony and congratulated the senior officers on their well-deserved promotion, noting that it was proof of their allegiance, commitment, and dedication to helping the NA fulfill its constitutional purpose.
The promoted officers were charged by Brigadier Nwachukwu to step up their efforts as promotions came with more responsibilities. He also exhorted them to make sure that their families benefit from the privileges that come with their new positions.
Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni spoke on behalf of the promoted officers to thank the Army Council and Lt. General Faruk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff, for their consideration of them for promotion.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Director of Army Public Relations for his counsel, which had enabled them to reach this significant milestone in their chosen professions.
Lieutenant Colonels Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni, Shuaibu Umar, and Ibrahim Shittu are among the officers that received decorations.
