Director Defence Information Visits DINFO Nigerian Navy, Seeks for Maximum Cooperation

As part of his visit to get acquainted with the Services Directors of Public Relations and Information, Brig.- Gen. Tukur Ismail Gusau, the Acting Director of Defence Information, paid a courtesy call on Commodore Adedotun Olukayode Ayo-Vaughan, Director of Information of the Nigerian Navy, on January 30, 2023.

During the visit, the acting director encourages Defense and Services Headquarters to continue their engagement and collaboration in the area of information management. The acting director urged the Naval image maker to keep the current synergy, in order for them to work together to enhance the favourable image of Nigeria’s Armed Forces. “Jointness, increased partnership, and synergy are highly vital in the information management of the current security concerns facing the country,” General Gusau added.

In a statement sent to journalists in Abuja, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba made this released to the public. The acting director informed the DINFO of his support and pledged to encourage prompt information sharing for the benefit of the AFN and for reasons of national security. The Nigerian Navy’s Director, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, responded by welcoming the Acting DDI and his entourage to the Nigerian Navy Headquarters. recognizing and expressing gratitude to the Acting DDI for his well-earned appointment. He assured him of his constant support and commitment throughout the process.

The DINFO committed to remain in contact with the Acting DDI for advice and direction, the DINFO then highlighted that working in silos doesn’t yield favorable results. He, therefore, promised him his complete assistance and participation in order for the Acting DDI to succeed in his well-deserved assignment.
