On the occasion of Easter celebrations, General Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Defence Staff, congratulates members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. The Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier-General Tukur Gusau, signed a statement on behalf of the CDS wishing personnel of the armed forces and their families a good Easter full of love and joy. He urged everyone to utilize this time to think about the love of Jesus Christ, for whom this season is celebrated, and to keep showing their love for the nation in all that they do. He asked everyone to keep asking the Lord for more success in our efforts and a smooth transition to democracy for the country.
Armed Forces personnel were thanked by General Irabor for their contributions to successful operations both domestically and overseas. The CDS also takes use of the Easter Celebrations to recognize the sterling work done by Nigeria’s armed forces during the recently held general elections, which has garnered praise from all around the world.
The CDS takes use of the opportunity to reiterate the dedication and loyalty of the Nigerian Armed Forces to Mr. President, C-in-C, and the Federal Republic’s Constitution. We promise to keep upholding and defending the nation’s democratic government and constitution.
