The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Ibadan Maj Gen Mohammed Usman has urged the graduating Students of ‘Ex Shinning Star 3 2023’ to always put into effective use the knowledge gained during the course. At the graduating ceremony at the Maj Gen OF Azinta Shooting Range Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment today 6 April 2023. The GOC represented by the Chief of Staff 2 Division Brig Gen Ishaq Oloyede commended the troops for the display of impressive practical ability and advised them to keep it up. Gen Usman urged them to remain focused, dedicated and disciplined to prove the knowledge gained.
Earlier, the Division’s Training Officer Brig Gen Danladi Abdullahi informed the gathering that a total number 2 officers and 53 soldiers participated on the 8 weeks Ex Shinning Star course . According to the DTO, the course is designed to develop troops individually and also as a team to be physically robust and mentally alert. It equally catered for endurance and ability to withstand extreme weather conditions,and develop troops use of initiatives and capabilities of taking calculated risks and effective use of weapon by day and night.
Highlights of the occasion include falling plate demonstration, presentation of certificates and group photograph.
