Abuja, Nigeria – Brigadier General OA Ochagwuba, the late Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), will be laid to rest according to funeral preparations made public by the Nigerian Army. Following a brief illness, the revered military officer passed away on June 26, 2023, and the army has expressed sincere grief at his premature passing.
The news was made on Tuesday by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the director of army public relations, who also gave details of the burial services to be held in honor of the deceased officer. A Service of Songs will be held on July 27, 2023, at Omale Ochagwuba Street Plot 606 in Sabon Lugbe East, behind Shafa Filling Station on Airport Road in Abuja, to kick off the two-part funeral process. 5:00 p.m. is when the service is supposed to start.
At St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Asa 2 Oturkpo LGA, Benue State, the funeral service would be performed the following day, on July 28, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. Following the burial, Brigadier General Ochagwuba will be buried at his home in Asa 3 Otukpo LGA, Benue State.
At the time of his departure, Brigadier General OA Ochagwuba, who was stationed at Bonny Cantonment Victoria Island, Lagos State, was a much-respected and devoted military leader who was the Commandant of NASPRI. His wife, three children, siblings, and an elderly mother make up his bereaved family, together with his brothers and sisters.
A outstanding commander who made a substantial contribution to the defense and security of the country is mourned by the Nigerian Army, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Everyone who had the honor of serving under Brigadier General Ochagwuba will definitely love and remember his legacy.
