On Monday, 1st May 2023, the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Ibrahim Ali received in audience the Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Maj Gen GU Chibuisi in his office in Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.
The Force Commander who was at the Theatre on a courtesy visit commended the Theatre Commander for the visible operational successes recorded. He also lauded the warm reception accorded him upon arrival in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
Speaking on the security situation in the region, Maj Gen Chibuisi noted that adequate peace has returned to the North East, and now things are metamorphosing to the stabilization phase. Therefore, he urged the command to sustain the momentum.
In his remarks, the Theatre Commander thanked the FC for making out time to visit the Theatre. While assuring him of his support, Maj Gen Ali expressed optimism on the capability of the FC to perform credibly well and record numerous successes against the adversaries. Moreso, he wished Maj Gen Chibuisi a successful tour of duty as the FC MNJTF.
Additionally, the duo also discussed several avenues on improving the operational synergy of both forces.
