On December 5, four Boko Haram terrorists were killed by members of the 195 Battalion, Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Borno state’s Mafa general area. According to reports, the army attacked the terrorists’ hideouts in the Karkut and Koshobe settlements after receiving reliable intelligence.

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and expert in counterinsurgency in the Lake Chad, was informed by intelligence sources that while clearing Kezemari and Ladinbuta, the forces encountered Boko Haram rebels at Karkut.

In a gunfight with the terrorists, the battalion and the Civilian Joint Taskforce, he claimed, the troops inflicted casualties on the Boko Haram militants, killing four of them instantaneously as the others escaped in confusion.
According to the reports, six of the terrorists’ recently erected camps were also demolished, and grenades, guns, and cellphones were found nearby.

He claimed that during the clearance operation, the watchful troops searched every inch of the region and destroyed multiple terrorist camps that had been located.
