Major General Ibrahim Ali, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 3 Division, Nigerian Army (NA), and Commander of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), has reaffirmed his commitment to cooperative security cooperation in addressing security issues within the OPSH Joint Operations Area. At the first end-of-year gathering of security agencies in Plateau State, which took place at the headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN in Jos today, December 15, 2022, the Commander said this.

General Ali stressed the importance of planning a gathering for the security agencies in Plateau State to celebrate a fruitful year, according to the Media Information Officer for OPSH Captain Oya James. Given the relative tranquility being experienced in the State and the successes realized via various cooperative operations carried out during the year under review, General Ali insisted that the aim was to assemble all security agencies under one roof to celebrate in a casual setting.

The General Officer Commanding stated that the peace was established thanks to the combined efforts of all security services, which is evidence of their tremendous dedication, unanimity, and coordination. In the interests of the people and society as a whole, he counseled maintaining the cooperation between security services as it is.

General Ali commanded the security forces to continue working toward a safe and secure Plateau State. He consequently exhorted them to always act in accordance with the law in order to win the public’s support and confidence and ensure the success of their activities.

The gathering effort was praised by other heads of security agencies who spoke at the event, and they expressed their happiness with the increased cooperation between security services in the State. They decided to keep working together to fulfill their mission of bringing about peace and reducing crime in the State and the country as a whole.

Highlights of the occasion included a cultural exhibition by Plateau Cultural Troupes, an Army/Police Band performance, a lavish feast, and a group photo.
