The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Abubakar Sadiq Muhammed Wase, has called on troops of 3 Brigade to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

In a statement by Captain Babatunde Zubairu, Assistant Director 3 Brigade Army Public Relations, Major General Wase delivered the charge while addressing soldiers at Bukavu Barracks, Kano, on Wednesday, 11 September 2025.

Gen Wase urged the troops to remain steadfast in upholding the principles of professionalism and force protection, avoid all unmilitary practices, and embrace sound administration in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy. He emphasized that discipline, ethical conduct, and operational efficiency remain the foundation for success in ongoing security operations.

Highlights of the visit included a briefing by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General A. M. Tukur, the commissioning of newly renovated Corporal and Below Quarters under the Chief of Army Staff’s intervention projects, an inspection tour of the Brigade Medical Centre, and a visit to 73 Battalion at Janguza Barracks.

Major General Wase’s visit reinforced the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining high professional standards while ensuring the welfare of personnel and the operational readiness of units under 1 Division.
