The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army (NA) Maj Gen TA Lagbaja has urged the newly promoted/decorated Master Warrant Officers to remain committed, dedicated and disciplined.The GOC stated this while decorating the newly promoted Master Warrant Officers of 1 Division on Wednesday 30 November 2022 at the Division Auditorium.
The GOC charged the newly promoted Master Warrant Officers to tighten up their buckles as the promotion comes with higher responsibilities and ensure they distinguished themselves and encouraged their subordinates to always give their best.
GOC emphatically enjoined the beneficiaries to give the Nigerian Army their best and encourage other soldiers to be exemplary and display carriage and leadership qualities.
While delivering vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted/decorated MWOs, Master Warrant officer, MWO Aina Olarenwaju, thanked the president and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari for considering them for promotion. He also thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya and the GOC 1 Division for the privilege and pledged their unflinching loyalty and dedication to the constituted authority and Nigerian Army in general.
The highpoint of the event was the decoration of the newly promoted MWOs with their new ranks, words of advice to the newly promoted MWOs and group photographs.
