On May 4, 2023, Maj.-Gen. CG Musa, Commander Infantry Corps (CIC), and Maj Gen OT Akinjobi, General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army, paid a familiarization visit to the Commander Infantry Corps Maj.-Gen. CG Musa at headquarters Infantry Corps Jaji kaduna.
Maj.-Gen. OT Akinjobi praised the CIC for his numerous efforts to ensure that the Corps would continue to be the top Corps in the Nigerian Army during his speech. He continued by saying that in order to accomplish predetermined goals, the Corps and the Division must work together. He commits to providing the Division with all the assistance available to improve the already positive connection between the Infantry Corps and Headquarters 1 Division.
In his reply, the CIC Maj.-Gen. CG Musa commended the GOC on his well-deserved appointment as the 40th General Officer Commanding 1 Division as well as his accomplishment in organizing all NA operations while serving as the Army’s Chief of Operations (Army). He called Gen Akinjobi a senior officer who was enthusiastic and committed.
