The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major- General Muhammad Takuti Usman has assured of his maximum support to the State Director of Security Oyo State and his office.

When Mr. John Maigama and his entourage paid him a courtesy visit as the Director of the Service in Oyo State, Major-General Usman said this. The GOC emphasized the significance of the visit by expressing his gratitude for the level of collaboration between the Division and other State security stakeholders. They received assurances from the GOC that they would have the Divisions’ ongoing backing.

John Maigama, the State Director of Security for Oyo State, had already stated that he had grown to value the GOC’s ongoing assistance during operations. Anytime a need arose, he pushed for deeper collaboration. The State Director praised the military as a critical stakeholder in security issues in Nigeria and thanked the GOC for the lovely reception.

In a same vein, Teslim Adeniyi Kareem, the Conservator of the Old Oyo National Park, stated during his visit to the GOC 2 Division that he is at the Division to request further support and collaboration from the military to help prevent the Park from becoming a haven for criminals and a bandit encampment. He commended the GOC 2 Division for collaborating well with Oyo State’s paramilitary and security agencies.

The Nigerian Army and the state’s security agencies will exchange information to enable prompt and accurate intelligence gathering and preventative security measures. Joint patrols and operations are anticipated as part of the partnership, which will provide a coordinated response to any security crises and foster a safer environment for state inhabitants. The Nigerian Army and the state’s security organizations are collaborating to establish a secure environment that promotes socioeconomic development and safeguards the lives and property of the citizens of the state.

The exchange of goods, signing the visitor’s book, and taking group photos were all highlights of the visits.
