GOC 7 Division Declares 2nd Quarter NA Doctrine 2022 Sensitization Lecture Open

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Major General AE Abubakar has enjoined officers and troops of the Division to take full advantage of the NA Doctrine 2022 presented by the Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA).

The GOC made the call while giving his welcome remarks at the Second Quarter NA Doctrine 2022 Sensitisation Lecture organised by TRADOC NA on Wednesday,  7 June,  2023 at the Theatre Command Officers’ Mess in Maimalari  Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.

In his remarks, the GOC said “the significance of the lecture cannot be overemphasized as it will aid the participants to understand the salient additions/changes from last edition in Year 2017 and current one as it focused on complex security situations. Stressing that, “It was important to reiterate the objectives of today’s lecture which is an avenue to create awareness and give widespread understanding of the NA Doctrine 2022.  He described the document as more user friendly and a clear departure and improvement in the NA’s operational approach to the current security situation to decisively address the myriads of security challenges in the country.

While appreciating the Chief of Army Staff (COAS)  Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for considering the Division to host the lecture which is in line with the COAS vision,  he also expressed his appreciation to the Theatre Commander Op HADIN KAI,  Major General IS Ali for his continuous guidance which has helped the Division to achieve her set goals.  The GOC also commended the leadership of TRADOC NA for the effort and commitment towards the successful completion and implementation of the document.

During the lecture,  the Commander TRADOC, Major General SO Olabanji who was represented by the Director Combat Development, Brigadier General WM Dangana said the Second Quarter NA Doctrine 2022 Sensitisation Lecture was aimed at creating awareness across all formations and units of the NA on the adoption and implementation of the new NA Doctrine which was reviewed to meet the contemporary  security challenges  of the country.  He stressed that the document will also enlighten officers and troops on the new approach to training and expected performance in various operations.

The lecture was attended by senior officers, officers and men from both Headquarters Theatre Command and 7 Division formations/units within Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
