Major General Obinna Ajunwa, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, has dedicated himself to enhancing the 81 Division Hippo Mess’s infrastructure and aesthetic appeal.
The GOC stated that the project’s completion was part of his resolve to align with the Chief of Army Staff’s vision to add value to the system and leave an enduring legacy for the junior ones during his remarks at the commissioning ceremony, which was conducted during the send-forth and special Tombola organized for the departing Commanders and officers of the Division. The GOC pledged to complete the mess’s renovation, and he has ordered Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, the president of the committee that oversaw the project’s execution, to submit estimates for the mess’s overall renovation.
The GOC also praised the Division’s posted-out commanders and officers for their unceasing efforts, dedication, and support, which he claimed contributed to the Division’s so far-recorded victories. He additionally advised the commanders to represent the Division well wherever they are.
Major General IM Abdullahi, Brigadier General AA Galadima, Brigadier General Mbafung, Brigadier General EO Oshunsan, and Brigadier General KN Nwoko are among the departing top officers. Others include Lieutenant Colonel OJ Osoba, Colonel Asuku, Colonel Orji, Colonel Abdallah, Colonel Sholotan, and Colonel Asuku.
