Major General Umar Musa, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division, Nigerian Army, has pledged his support for security to Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Ground Training Command, Enugu. When the AOC, Air Vice Marshal Sayo Olatunde, and his group made him a courtesy call at the Division Headquarters, the GOC gave the guarantee.

The Ground Training Command and the 82 Division have an excellent working relationship, according to General Musa (GOC). He thanked the AOC and asked him to treat his successor with the same respect.

The present cooperation between 82 Division and Ground Training Command will continue, the GOC added, adding that both organizations must work together to achieve their goal of combating instability within each command’s Area of Responsibility.

When explaining his visit earlier, Air Vice Marshal Sayo Olatunde, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Ground Training Command, said he was at the Division to pay respects to the General Officer Commanding 82 Division GOC and to recognize the Division’s efforts in addressing security issues in the South East region of the country.

He continued by saying that his command would work in concert with the GOC to achieve its goal. In order to improve the already good relationship between his command and the Division, Air Vice Marshal Olatunde pledged. During the visit, there were senior officers and Principal Staff Officers of both commands.
