Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the governor of Kano State, has challenged the graduates of the logistics programs to be steadfast in their group’s effort to create a powerful Nigeria.

Ganduje, the Kano State Governor, who was speaking at the conclusion of the combined graduation ceremony of the student officers and ratings held on Thursday at the Nigerian Navy Logistics College in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the State, according to Hassan Musa Fagge, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, said he is aware that a lot of investment have been made.

Ganduje stated that the nation expects them to always be at the top of their game in order to improve the capability of the Nigerian Navy because recent events have demonstrated that they must deal with situations outside of the classroom when performing their duties. As a result, they must continue to build on what they have learned in the course and improve on the fundamentals in order to improve Nigeria’s maritime security.

It must have been a period of intense activity covering various parts of service and professional skills necessary to Naval operations, says Ganduje, adding that he is confident this training had a beneficial impact on the loyalty and dedication of the servicemen and women in question.

The Nigerian Navy Logistics College Dawakin Tofa’s contribution to the internal security operation in the State, which unquestionably improved the security of the Kano State, is valued by the State Government, he continued.

Ganduje gave the college the assurance that the State Government would continue to assist it in providing the logistical support required to improve Kano State’s security.

The college trains officers in the ranks of Lieutenant Commander to Commander in a lengthy logistics management course, Sub lieutenant to lieutenant in a logistics officers basic course, and Sub technical refreshers for newly commissioned Sub lieutenants, according to the college’s commandant, Commodore Usman Mainasara Bugaje, in his address.

He continued by saying that as naval operations and campaigns primarily rely on logistics, the courses’ goal is to prepare junior and senior commanders for logistics planning and administration naval operations.

The launch of the college maiden magazine is one of the event’s highlights.
