Governor of Katsina State Pays Courtesy Visit to Chief of Naval Staff

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, received a visit from His Excellency Dr. Dikko Umar-Radda, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, on Friday at Naval Headquarters in Abuja. The purpose of the trip was to strengthen cooperation between the Nigerian Navy and the Katsina State government.

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar-Radda thanked the Nigerian Navy for the warm welcome and praised it for its dedication to defending Nigeria’s maritime domain and preserving national security during the courtesy visit. He recognized the essential role performed by the Navy in defending the country’s waterways and fending off marine threats, which directly affect the nation’s economic growth.

Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo thanked Governor Dikko Umar-Radda for the visit and lauded the Katsina State Government’s dedication to promoting peace and security within its territorial limits in his response. He underlined the importance of joint cooperation between the administration and security services in addressing security concerns including insurgency, banditry, and other criminal activities.

Governor Dikko Umar-Radda and Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo reaffirmed their commitment to working together to strengthen security and create an environment that would be favorable for Katsina State’s overall growth and prosperity as the courtesy visit came to a successful conclusion.

The visit demonstrates the mutual respect and cooperation between the Katsina State Government and the Nigerian Navy and highlights the value of teamwork in resolving security issues and advancing national development.
