On Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, would be conducting a vital meeting with Commanders of the 79 Police Mobile Force Squadrons on Monday. Increasing operational plans, training, deployments, and tactical engagements were the main objectives of the summit, which was held with the ultimate aim of enhancing Nigerian public safety and security.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (Ag. IGP) highlighted the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force under his leadership to prioritize the protection of people and property in the nation in a statement released by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters. He reaffirmed the force’s commitment to solidifying its role as a major component in Nigeria’s internal security system.

The Ag. Inspector-General of Police presented a detailed strategy for enhancing the capabilities of the Mobile Force Squadrons during the meeting. This effort aims to provide officers with the abilities and information they need to successfully address new security concerns. The police force wants to improve the operational effectiveness, deployments, and tactical engagements of the Mobile Force Squadrons in order to increase public safety for all citizens.

The Ag. IGP affirmed his trust in the Mobile Force Squadrons’ capacity to uphold law and order and keep the nation peaceful. In order to accomplish the intended results, he emphasized the significance of teamwork, synergy, and good communication across the various police units.

The meeting provided the Ag. Inspector-General of Police with an opportunity to speak with the Commanders face-to-face and learn about the practical issues they deal with in their individual areas of responsibility. It was a chance to address worries, offer direction, and reaffirm the shared commitment to protecting the country.

The Ag. IGP gave the Mobile Force Squadrons’ commanders and officers the reassurance that their efforts and devotion to duty are greatly appreciated and acknowledged. In order to assure their efficacy in thwarting crime and defending the lives and property of Nigerians, he promised ongoing support, training, and resources.

Under the direction of the Ag. Inspector-General of Police, the leadership of the Nigerian Police Force has begun a comprehensive effort to improve public safety and security. The force’s strategies and programs are designed to address the nation’s changing security issues. The Ag. IGP is certain that with the combined efforts of the police force and the dedication of its personnel, major improvements in the security environment can be made, ensuring the safety of all citizens.
