In 2 Weeks, Troops Neutralises Scores of Boko Haram, Arrests 27, Recovers Arms and Ammunitions Borno

According to the Defence Headquarters, troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North Eastern Zone have continued operational activities in towns, cities, mountains, and villages under their respective jurisdictions.

According to Moajor-General Danmadami Musa, Director of Defence Media Operations, troops engaged in ambushes, clearing operations, fighting patrols, cordon and search operations, and other activities between October 20, 2022, and November 2, 2022, in the Borno State local governments of Bama, Kukawa, Kaga, and Biu as well as the Yobe State local governments of Damaturu, Gujba, and Geidam.

General Danmadami continued, “T-roops detained 27 suspected Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists, neutralized 19, and seized 1 RPG bomb, 1 GPMG, 2 x 36 hand grenades, 6 AK47 rifles, 61 7.62mm special rounds, 36 reloaded 7.62 mm special rounds, 3 AK47 magazines, and 3 magazine holders.” Other things include 6 motorcycles, 7 bicycles, 1 pumping machine, 6 grinding machines, 9 mobile phones, 6 jerricans of 25 liters each of PMS, a bag of grains, motorcycle accessories, food, 1 baofeng radio, and the sum of N10,000,660.00 (N10,000,660.00) Naira only, in addition to many other items.

Additionally, on October 20, 2022, in the villages of Buduwa and Banki in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, troops working with members of the Department of State Security and the Civilian Joint Task Force came into contact with terrorists from Boko Haram/the Islamic State of West Africa Province. One terrorist was neutralized, while others fled the scene after being shot. In addition, 1 terrorist turned himself in to his own soldiers and turned over an AK-47 weapon, 5 rounds of special 7.62mm ammunition, 1 Baofeng radio, 2 mobile phones, and a camel pack, among other things. Two alleged Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists were detained in Damaturu, Yobe State, on the same day.
